I had this problem on my last civic, dealer advised me that they all do this and there is nothing wrong with it.

There are a few threads on here from people who have had similar problems and their dealers change the gear synch. Think it was mostly on type'R though.

The only bulletin is about pebbles/dirt blocking the gearshift mechanism on top of the gearbox (under the batterybox/airbox). Especially under braking and damaged cables. Normal warrenty applies

All the other gearbox syncho/shift issues are for Type-R cars and mostly 3th gear grinding.

I had an issue occasionally when changing down to second, stiffness/refusal to go into gear, a bit unnerving on the aproach to roundabouts, after a gearbox oil change, (75K service), the problem seems to have lessened.
Hope this is of interest

I think it's one of those problems that they wont admit to. it was really bad on my 1.8 but I don't notice it on my 2.2.

I think you are right, I figured after owning a Honda motorcycle that they would produce a good manual six speed car gearbox! Mine is a tad better now afer the oil change but not as good as as it could/should be, I will halve the oil change interval on my gearbox in future.
