Anyone know how to do this? Im trying to fit a gaiter According to various posts here it's dead easy, but mine seems really stiff and won't budge.

Try and get a thin strong blade under it and it will eventually prise off!

Unless a previous owner stuck it down!!!

There is some give on it but it's real stiff. Doesn't feel stuck down.

Whichever end you pull hardest comes first in my experience

Bottom first was easiest for me as I could get something under the trim.

use a plastic trim remover tool if you can so as not to damage the trim, or an old credit card to show enough to get your fingers under it

Thats where you are going wrong... you need to use a card of value like a credit or debit card for the civic to release its vice grip, they basically like to suck your money out of you any way they can!

Just went to car to get a few photos. Start by opening the cubby hole and prise from the top (flat side) not the bottom round side as there's a tab here. Might be stif at first but it does come.

Interesting. I was going from the bottom, there doesn't appear to be a big enough gap to prise from at the top. I'll give it another go.

I did mine from the bottom, just had to use enough effort to release the tab as I couldn't get anywhere from the top.

Gave it another go. Still no good. The top has so little "gappage" I can't even get a credit card in it.

Will try again tomorrow.

You may need something stiffer than a credit card in that case to lever it up. Try from the side at the top edge maybe.
