Synchromesh can go on these. But if all gears are problematic, could be worn out clutch (bleed/change clutch fluid as the master/slave cylinders do go and airlocks are issue).
But cheapest and 1st option is swapping out the gearbox oil.....if there is any left in it.
There is also the linkages/cables that can be cleaned and lubed up...if the cables arent streched/frayed.
I'd do the cheap maintenance work first and see where you go from there.
Some people opt for aftermarket quickshift kits to help with the shifting, if they are unhappy with it (with worn/tolerance/alignment issues).
