I would HPI the car also, no matter what Evans Halshaw tell you, go by your own check

also, id be walking away from the car if he they do infact give u a test run and without letting it get upto temperature let you try out v-tec

FSH is a must

Check overall condition - external \ internal \ underneath

HPI and Accident register checks

Look closely at the 'shut-lines' - even is good

Leather ? - look for cracks or bad creases (leather needs special care)

Open the bonnet and look for "stuff" (spills, stains, discolouration)

Try out EVERYTHING - lights, washers, CD player, radio, SatNav ?, etc.

Take a LONG test drive, an a mix of roads and speeds and conditions

Then buy the goddamn car ! - they are getting rare !!!

whats the recommended time for vtec to be at good temp?

i have the reg in an email i got from them so will give them a phone tomorrow morning thanks for the heads up

some people say 10-15 mins others say different. Personally I wait until the temp gauge reaches 8 o clock on the dial which can vary depending on lots of things. Besides as far as I know vtec wont kick in if the engine is too cold anyway.

Good luck with the purchase its a pretty new car should still be under warrenty so you shouldn't have any trouble go buy it.
