Came out of work this morning, unlocked the car and realised the alarm was sounding. I had a quick check for damage then tried starting the car, lights flashing and green key symbol up on the dash. 
Tried turning off all auto functions and still nothing....
Tried jumping it (very carefully) and still nothing.
So I've taken the battery out, and got a lift home. It's now on charge and I've dug out my spare key. Hopefully this isn't something serious like a flashed ECU and just a case of no power. Judging by the green key symbol and the alternate flickering of the HID's I don't hold out much hope.
Strangely enough I found out today that the siren is somewhere towards the rear of the car.
