I have searched but cannot find this anywhere so started a new thread, apologies if this has been brought up before (I am sure it must have been). I have the type S GT in NHB, looks great apart from the grey mud flaps, has anyone colour coded these, if so could you advise what the steps are and the primer and paint to use please, much appreciated.

They have been on now for about 8 month now and they still look like the day i picked them up.
One thing that the paint shop did was to paint the backs not the fronts where the tyres could throw stones up chipping them.Get them done they look great.

Personally for an area as small as the mud flaps I would order some colour coded paint off ebay, some normal grey primer and lacquer should get the lot for £20 or less and just paint them yourself.

I did mine myself in NHB.
got some off Ebay for less than £10.
used plastic primer, and clear lacquer.

Didn't mine doing them myself because of the size - less to go wrong, and easier to get a smooth finish.

I also used t-cut black restorer a week or so after they were finished.
gave them a deeper shine. (if you do it, leave them a week or so for the laquer to fully cure.)
