well today woke up to snow that turned into ice :( went out to the car cleared the snow off left the car running to heat up, got in drove down the street came out shop, was driving home and hit a stupid pothole and a crack came from the bottom right to the middle at a 45 degree angle by the looks of it, it will need to be a replacement

the question is i am fully comp with admiral will the replacement effect my NCB?

autoglass quoted me £605 to replace:facepalm:

cheers

Sorry to hear about that. Although it supposedly does not affect your no claims, it will show up that you have made a claim. This will have to be disclosed to other insurers when it comes to renewal. May be worth bearing in mind. I had a stone chip repaired which is showing up as a claim. A friend recently got her back window smashed and after ridiculous quotes from autoglass etc got her local garage to replace it at a fraction of the cost. Hope this is of use

Im with admiral as well. Happened to me a few months ago. Was on the motorway and something hit my windscreen and chipped it which then developed into a crack.

If your FC with admiral, should include windscreen cover which is a £75 excess and it DOES NOT affect your NCB. :D

Admiral use national windscreen, so you either arrange for them to come to you, or you go to the nearest branch. The excess is paid in cash once the windscreen has been replaced.

Hope this helps

Will not affect your ncb at all Gaz check your insurance policy there will be a window excess on it somewhere.

As a few of the other guys said whatever window company the insurance use they will come to you, unless the weather is mental then you will have to take it to their depot. Need at least an hour for the bond to start setting.

not if it's in your policy....you pay the agreed excess and all will be ok, the insurance company have already factored in this price when quoting you your premium,

the only time your NCD is affected is for something not covered under there terms & conditions!!

Hi mate, this happened to me last year although some tool thought it would be funny to throw a pebble through my back window when it was parked outside my mates house!?!

Anyway mine was replaced within 3 days by Autoglass as they had to order it direct from Swindon but they came and cleaned and secured it the best they could the day I phoned, ready for fitting. It did show on my renewal but not as a proper claim just as as to quote :- Windscreen without NCB loss £0.
This didnt affect my policy this year with a different company, hope that clears it up for you a bit. :)
