Hi all
I've noticed recently my handbrake lever had more than usual side to side play are there any fixes for this?

To remove the centre console to check the fixings yourself is not that difficult.

4 bolts and it slides upwards and off. If you have an 09+ the wiring plug is easily disconnected.

I would check to see if the car has been in for the handbrake recall, where the complete unit is replaced .
Your Dealership will be able to look it up on Honda's computer system.

TBH they all have this movement... just the way its made! It bugged me in my 06 as Honda marketed the Civic as a premuim C segment car, yet it feels cheap and crappy... then did nothing about improving it in the 09's :facepalm:
