Washed there car outside when it's that cold the snow foam freezes to he ground and car...

It actually looked like real snow & ice after it froze. Luckily I put a hot water outside tap in the garden earlier this year.

Wasn't the greatest of plans to wash the car today but once it was rolled into the garage it was fine.

Oh yeah! Last year I had to detail a 530d before I had access to a unit. -4 outside on day one. Two day enhancement.

This is the best shot, which was after washing and decontamination; you can see the ground is frozen solid! My dad kept brushing the water away as fast as he could, but the ground was freezing within minutes...

Never again. Nearly broke my neck just getting round the car!!

Sounds about right it was like dancing on ice. When I finally got the car in the lockup started polishing with Menz 106fa about a 2ft square by time I put polisher down and begun to wipe off polish which was fully broken down it would not buff off without pressure and a lot of ipa, was strange could only put it down to temperature, was 1.5C in the lockup with heater and 6x 500w work lights. I tried smaller sections but exact same ended up aborting paint correction and application of C1 for the moment, ended up using C2 for the mean time.

Do you recon it was the cold making the polish stick never had this issue before....

I tend to not wash mine at very low temperatures. My drive has a slight slope down to the road and if the water runs across the pavement and freezes and someone slips over I wouldn't be flavour of the month.

Yes, I have been battling the exact same demons last week with 3deg ambient air temp. Sticky paint too. Total 'mare.
