Please can someone advise if the hazzard light switch should illuminate when lights are on, mine doesn't, I'm wondering if this is normal or do I have an interesting bulb replacement to do!

Are you really sure that it's not lit.?
Even in the dead of night, it's not very bright and is designed that way, to not distract the driver.

Absoutley, it's totaly invisible at night, I had a Jazz courtesy car the other day that had a glow to the hazard light switch, hence this question.
I will order a bulb tomorrow and see what the parts department say.

Mine doesn't light up. Not sure it ever has. Doesn't flash when I operate the hazards either!!!

Regarding my car it is a surprise for me - since 4-5 years - not having seen any photon from it when it is not operated due to hazard and the light is on. How may it be? :hmmmm2:

Today I was driving in the city I noticed 'half a photon' from red button when my car went on an absolutely dark street.
However in the evenings under a normal city light condition the lamp can hardly be seen...
I tried to flash it up pushing the button on but it did not...

It is pretty dim, it doesn't need to be too bright though, just bright enough to find it in the dark.

And AFAIK it doesn't flash when you turn the hazards on.

Yes, it seems useful to do so; neither disturbing when it is off and not disturbing when it is on! Although I find it now logical why the people usually don't?!

Bulb replaced on Saturday I now have an illuminated switch, it was a bit of a mission so while I was doing it I took the oportunity to clean and tighten stuff as I went.

Jaames, what guide did you use to change the hazard bulb? And what kind of bulb is it? I changed my indicator today (removing the wheelarch liner?!?!?!) and I've now noticed the hazard bulb is kaputt. Thanks.

To get to that your gonna need the stereo pulling out, which means getting in the dash. Try the How To below for fitting an XCarlink which involves taking the stereo out.

Hi Squasher
I bought the bulb from Honda, it is a miniscule globe with a plastic flange on the back, I think it needs to come from a main dealer, from memory it was a few pounds!!
I also bought a repair CD from an E Bay supplier for a few pounds which has turned out to be really good.
