I agreed a free update for this when I bought the car back in Jan 2016, I have just received the 2017 Honda update DVD disc for this (FOC) it states on the box:-

"2017 Honda HDD Navigation System. Europe HDD Update. Map DB Ver. IT203.02.00 to IT206.05.00"

The disc comes with a 25 digit licence number that you have to submit via a website "navigation.com/honda-emea-an-activation" to obtain a 17 digit numerical 'password' (you have to submit your VIN and the Device number to achieve this so the disc may only be specific for your vehicle and not used in your mates car or sold on EBay !!!)

Takes about half an hour to upload the data from the disc to the HDD and then about 5 hours travelling time to update the system.

Hope this helps folk unravel the Honda 2013/14 HDD Satnav enigma

Is it only a map update, or maybe also an firmware update?
Mine is also an 2014 version and I miss the 3D (birdview)
The price I saw here in NL is €225,-:crying:

Hi, you are lucky receiving this gift.

Are you sure it is a DVD? So far I only heard about SD cards for updating the HDD versions...

My 2013 HDD Premium Audio has no SD card slot. Only the CD player and the centre console USB and AUX slots.

Yes it is a DVD and I did the upload yesterday, regarding use on other vehicles I'll evaluate on my mate's CIVIC SR to see if it works but I suspect that it may be "VIN" or Equipment number locked to my car!

What is the firmware version of the HDD?
It states on the DVD

“2017 Europe HDD update 10.420.0. Map DB ver. IT206.05.00”

On the case it specifically states “2017 Honda HDD Navigation system, Europe HDD update, Map DB Ver. IT203.02.00 to IT206.05.00”

“DVD Part No. T1000-25296, Pack No. T100025281”

You need a DVD from the dealer which updates from your current version on the HDD (which you can discover in the HDD settings, about....) to this latest version. As already mentioned each DVD is Vin locked and password protected on dispatch to its assigned vehicle so you can not pick up second hand or use one from another car.......dealership charges are over £150!

Hi Kremmen, my DVD was agreed FOC when I purchased the car and the update became available, all upadted fine................others should avoid anything that has not come legitamately through a dealer as at worse they could brick the HDD alrogether!
