A while back i had a bit of bumper to bumper action with another car and my front drivers side suffered a fair bit of damage. i took it to someone to fix and he made it look pretty much as new, he mentione that certain clips and connections for the drivers side light and the grill were broken so he used a a cable tie and glue on some parts to get it together.

a year and some later i realize that my headlight is pointing way too high (people flashing at me gave me the idea ). i pulled out my screw driver kit (my only tools ) and went to work to find out what was wrong. Successfully removed the cover which gave me access to the light cluster and spotted a few things.

i need to know what the part below is as one side is broken as you can see. i had a look at lings and couldn't find it.

your help would be greatly appreciated.

2 other things:

1 - 3 clips were missing from the front light cluster cover - those awkward ones that you need to pop out and quite a few people seem to break whilst trying to change their grilles (lol). lings seem to only sell them in 8's (if I've got the right bit) and a they're a £1.22 each! is there anywhere else i can get these?

2 - also the front headlight was damaged and it would appear that the part holding it to my car is broken (looks like it was glued together at some point). Would this part be easy to remove and fit from the whole headlight unit itself or would it require special tools of some sort. pic below for clarification.

Relic....this is going to sounds a little simplistic but when it says 'left' and 'right' does it mean when you're looking direct at the car from the front or when you sitting in the drivers seat??

Also, it's the front grill part that really has me confused. Right now the grill moves backwards and forwards (its very loose), i think i need to get part 'BRACKET, R. EMBLEM' on the front grilled diagram you posted. but it doesn't quite look the same as it does in my photos/real life.

Any pointers?

...you should see the 4 grey clips below that the grille will slide onto.
Do you have these.
(right next to the lights on either side)

My car was taken to the garage today so dont have it for reference.

Grille photo....see the two legs at the base and the correspondig top legs a little wide apart at the top.
These slide onto the prongs above (they lock into place with a catch when fitted).

looks like i'll need to off the bumper and top panel to see the state of it..... is taking off the front bumper a long mission?

Yeh i'll call lings and see what they say about the right/left thing, happy i'm not the only one that doesn't get it straight away

those four grey clips you are referring to....i can't see them on your top picture...i can see one on each side next to the light but i don't think i would be able to see this on my own car unless i take out the grill (?)

I fou remove the top plastic panel you can see all 4 clips ... well feel for the lower two.
It has a raised strip to lock it so needs squashing and it slides out.

The bumper is nerve wracking the first time.
You just have to be careful, firm but gentle and use a cloth to protect all the paint.
