Hi have agreed to sell my S and looking to get an R:VTECSMILEY:

have a few questions id appreciate help on......

1) whats the differences between the GT version and Non GT
(my S was a GT so is it the same things?)

2) trying to stick to a buget to allow money for upgrades and can buy this car for €11000 or roughly £9000. bare in mind that im living in ireland so choice is limited and importing from the uk means VRT, travel & accomodation costs
honda civic type r 2007 new shape for sale in Dublin : €11,450 - DoneDeal.co.uk

3) i was planning on upgrading brakes and getting springs but no major performance mods...at first anyway.
one thing i did want to get was HKS RSK (for sound) & flashpro (for Group N map).
noob to this to so excuse my ignorance  , does flashpro come preloaded with the Group N map and will this be ok with the induction kit?

thanks in advance .

I'm not sure - don't think they do though as I believe the spec sheet says "GT pack additionally includes..." cruise control is brilliant for those sensible days!

Also it will be a PITA to sell the non GT version.

Not concerned about that , the R has lost most of its value as it is .in a couple more years won't matter that much i don't think
Should be ok in that case. It won't necessarily affect the cars value just your ability to get it sold if you needed to. Looking on autotrader it's actually pretty difficult trying to find the standard R.

The group N is actually a good map once you get the MAF sensor re-calibrated to run a steady 12.8-13.1 AFR at wide open throttle. In stock form it runs way too rich and you will be hitting 11-11.5s which is far from optimal for power.
