Hello all,

I have a vivid blue 1.8 i-shift 2006 and want too know if an i-shift update is the same as on ecu/motor update.

I have very jerky changes and it doesn t respond well.
Also any dealers in zuid-holland who have the new i-shift update,
as my dealer is totally unaware of any i-shift update.

Are there more people in the netherlands who have problems with their I-shift. And how did you fix it , or made it any better.

I was also thinking that maybe a tuning shop can rewrite the ecu for better gear changes on an i- shift.
Any ideas.

It's a programming update to the on-board computer. Makes changes much smoother and holds the gear when you want to overtake etc.

Kick-down is responsive and it does away with the 'hesitation' you sometimes notice.

Mine has been great since it was done. No problems at all.

So its just a programming of the existing onboard computer and not a total reflash/update of the onboard computer??

I also want to update the onboard computer

So i was wondering if the dealer would charge me double (no warranty)
1 for the i-shift update
2 for the computer update

or is 1 or 2 the same

Still don t understand
