Ive got an 2006 8th gen civic with the ishift box. Ive noticed that if i want to pull quickly away from a standing start it hesitates quite badly. Its not an engine hesitation it feels more like gearbox not shifting into gear quick enough. Any ideas anyone?

Moved from 9G to 8G

The iShift is not a fast change gearbox as it only has one clutch. It kills the power, changes gear then returns power.

However, if you think you have a problem, this is where to post :

Thanks for your reply i think your answer seems about right, its just a slow selection of the gear change along with engine staying at idle until first gear is selected. Cheers

When it is safe to do so, turn VSA off and try pulling away then. Maybe you'll be a bit more satisfied. But turn it back on as soon as you done having some fun.
