Has anyone had a play to see what services the HFT publishes over bluetooth?

Is it just hands free or is there other stuff?

Only ever used it to store names on the car and make calls with them. Need to read a bit more in to it. Would like to know if you can call numbers that you manually enter into the phone. As the way I use it at present is quite limiting

rich - I've yet to get it to do that :(

It's a bit of a PITA - I end up pulling over just so that I can read the number off my phone screen into the HFT, so that the HFT can can my phone what number to ring... :?

Of course, if you were willing to break the law, you would bring the number up on screen and read it out whilst still driving - which kinda defeats the whole object of having hands free really

Would be well chuffed if someone knows how to ring from the phone, but voice over the HFT.

I'd then put in a bracket to (legally) hold the phone, find the number I want, press a button (on phone or HFT) and be able to hold a hands free conversation :)

Not perfect, but if you dial the number on your phone and hang up immediately then press the HFT and say "redial"

that sounds pretty darn close enough to me - cheers :p

For some reason best known only to myself, I just assumed that saying Redial would redial the last number the HFT knew about, not the phone...

Will try that when the car comes back, its having another trip out to see a mending person today. New fog lamp and wing respray. In fact the guy who is doing the work checked on here last night how to replace the fog light.

Do you think if we actually read the manual we might know what the kit was capable of?

Transferring a call: During a call you can transfer it from the HFT system to your phone or from your phone to the HFT system. See handbook page 286.

Or you can enter the number verbally. See handbook page 284 'Making a call'.
