Yesterday I bought my 2006 2.2CTDI SE.

But apart from the drive home I've not been able to really use it so far. Given me plenty of time to read the 500 page manual.

I need to now search the forum for hints and tips on servicing......

Hi chief and welcome I'm new here myself:D
Thanks guys.

After some searching it seems as if VRS Coventry come recommended. I was going to service some bits myself, but if their quote is cheap enough it'll be one less job I have to do.
Welcome to the forum, all you need now is the CIVINFO sticker. :)

You seem to have had the same amount of snow as the northwest :(
Yes, a decent 10cm covering with 15cm in places. Thankfully my other car has winter tyres, so I can still get out and about.
Hey Welcome,

I picked up mine yesterday and only managed to drive it back, its been sat on the drive covered in snow since

Don't ya hate it when that happens.
Car booked at VRS Coventry.

Oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter, coolant change, transmission oil, brake fluid, air-con regas, valve clearance check for £395 inc VAT.

Happy with the price. I'll report back regarding the service :)
Welcome to the club :)
Hi there and welcome to the Forum :D

Nice snowy car

Hi and welcome to the forum. :D
Alright chaps

I live in Rugby but work in Banbury (the big Lloyds building just off the motorway - practically synonymous with the Banbury locals it seems)

I used Avonvale Honda in Coventry. Found their prices competitive and has always been good service. I've specified things for them to check in the past e.g. brake fluid that I thought could do with a change and they came back to me during the service as all ok so didn't take up the opportunity to make some bucks out of me! Usually the sign of a good dealer.

My last service was the big one at 50k costed me I think £300 inc a courtesy car for a tenner

Next service is looking to be the 70kish one at £209 if I recall

You could probably get cheaper but I want to maintain the FHSH

Thanks guys.

Hi Tom. Thanks for the information.

I work near to Avonvale Honda in Coventry, and was in there a few days ago buying a touch up brush.

I received a quote fro VRS just over the road for the 75k service for £400. When I consider the list of items on that list (oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter, g/box oil, valve check, air-con regas) I consider that a fair price.

Final price came to £360 as valve clearance check and g/box oil was not required.

Very happy with the service from VRS.
Almost left the Civic world, but have decided to keep the car and stick around a little while longer :) Good cars these Civics!
