Hi - purchased a 2008 Type R GT demonstrator today from a dealer in Hemel Heamstead. It's a 58 plate with 7500 miles - £13990 with 19" rage wheels. Seemed like a bargain so would be interested to know if this the current going rate?

Slight problem with the wheels though as all 4 have been kerbed (fronts worse than backs). The dealer has told me he can get them put right however after reading through a few posts here it appears this is not the case. He's willing to get them fixed or change them for a set of 18" wheels in good condition. I understand Pristine Wheels can refurb rage wheels - does anyone know how much they charge as I can't imagine the dealer will want to spend serious cash. Alternatively I can go the 18" route - what to do??
Should have mentioned - fantastic forum much better than ScoobyNet which I view on a regular basis

Welcome to the forum.
I would get them to check the wheel alignment.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys - and the advice regarding the wheels.

Here's a photo of the some of the damage to the nearside wheel - sorry photo only taken with mobile phone.

There is another section of damage on this wheel and similar damage on o/s front - damage to rears is not so bad. Do you think the dealer should be paying Pristine Wheels to put this right?

Hi and welcome to civinfo. :)

If the dealer has said he will get them repaired make sure he does. If he replaces them with standard wheels I am sure he will get yours repaired and offer them to someone else at a profit. :(

Hi and welcome to the Place :D

Great to have you around and it sounds like you have a good deal there ;)

I hope you can sort out the wheels and make it a really good deal.

The kurbing shouldnt be a problem for the refurbishers... Even if the dealer dont pay for it youve had such a good deal on your car that shouldnt mind just paying for it yourself.. I thought £50 per wheel is about the going rate
