I have a type s and considering getting a type r, or is just to expensive to run ?

compared to a ford focus st no compared to my wifes 1.5dci micra then yes we always get high twentys and sometimes low thirtys on everyday driving ans even more on a run, welcome to the forum

thanks, i knew by joining a civic forum i get the answer i wanted to hear! on the motorway i'll get about 40mpg, would that be the same for the type r?

You should get steady 38mpg on motorway with type R, more if your taking it steady.

Hi & Welcome, Im a new Type R own and in the 2 weeks I have had it I have done a few thousand miles already, I tend to be getting around 29mpg for urban and around 36 to 39 mpg on the motorways pending on cruising speed and if I use cruise control.
