I can't seem to get the www.honda-access.com website to work correctly, be it for the car accessories or the Honda merchandise.

For the car accessories I get to the screen with a scroll down menu to pick the car model I'm interested in and then nothing happens.

For the merchandise, I can browse through all the products and put them in my basket, but then when I try to go any further (i.e. confirm shipping, pay etc.), nothing happens.

Is it just me or has anyone else encountered these problems? Any ideas on how to fix?

Let me ask differently: has anyone managed to buy anything from this website? If yes, I'm thinking it could be a problem with my Internet Explorer settings or my firewall.

Any help or insight would be appreciated!

When I try to go further on the merchandise I only see a box where I can enter a friends e-mail address to let them know about the item.

I wonder if it is actually possible to buy anything?

The whole site quite poor in my opinion.

Yep, I got that too. I thought it was a way to write to Honda and get quotes for the items I had put in my basket. But it only seems to send the mail to whoever you designate as receiver (I put myself) and the mail you get does not even come with a list of what you had in your basket. Of course there is a remote possibility that someone at Honda received a copy too but I doubt it... At least the problem does not seem to come from my side then as I'm not alone. At least for the merchandise.

Any luck with the car accessories, anyone?

Yes, works for me (old IE6 though).

Which language / region / car are you selecting?

The point of the whole thing is to keep some of my country(wo)men from getting unemployment benefits as I believe Honda Access is based in Belgium.

Which might also explain why it doesn't work properly. :popcorn2:

I tried a couple different ones (e.g. France, UK), essentially for the Civic 3-door and the Type R with the same result. And I just tried Sweden / Civic 5-door 2009, as I suspect that's probably what worked for you. Same result though: after I select the model of car, nothing happens.

But hold on, I just realized that regardless of the car model I select, I can then click on "Car Configurator" in the dark middle left portion of the screen, then select a car model (again) and then access the accessories under various headings (exterior, audio, etc.). Seemed a bit counter-intuitive to me, but I guess this is how the website was meant to work?

As for the merchandise, I suppose it is still useful as a means to write down the references and then email them to your local dealer and place an order that way...
