Hi guys I have a 2007 Honda Civic 1.8 petrol, recently I have been getting very poor fuel consumption, 22-25mpg! I have noticed a lean smell coming from exhaust lately but didn't think much of it. After reading some threads I decided to unplug the lambda sensor to check the connector, since I plugged it back in the engine light has come on. Any ideas how or get rid of this and what could be causing the poor fuel economy? Don't have any loss in power and the car was serviced a few months ago. Never changed the fuel filter since owning it (5 years) plugged changed a couple of years ago. thanks for any help in advance

Greetings,

From what I can think right now, I guess you can disconnect the battery for like 1 hour or so, to clean the error in the ECU. If it doesn't work, I guess your sensor is kinda faulty.
About the fuel consumption, have you checked the valves gaps? :)

I am sorry for my bad english. I hope it can help...

Regards

Have you checked the brakes are not binding? The hubs will be getting noticeably warm to the touch if there is a problem.
