No, Not unless you already had a HDD navigation equipped car and you were prepared to pay £1200, which is the replacement cost for a Honda Connect unit.

Hi Steve,

This is interesting, are you saying that HDD nav equipped cars (such as my MY13 EX) can be upgraded to the Honda Connect Android unit?

Cheers.

It is feaseable, The HDD navigation equipped car provides the majority of the required connectors, This is how the majority of early in-car unit testing was carried out.

Obviuosly there are additional connnections that are either not there or required modification, e.g 2 x USB/HDMI etc.

Thou as mentioned the cost of buying the Honda Connect unit is high, as its not intended as an accessory, just a replacement unit.

Could you not just pick your own unit with all the latest features, buy the aproptiate OEM facia kit, CANBUS connectors etc and have it fitted by a good audio specialist? Using the dealer would cost a fortune.

There is a useful thread on this in the ICE section.

I am interested in this, also MY2014 model. Honda Connect seems quite limited next to Android Auto which is coming out. It would be wiser to wait for that, as you would get a proper totally free Android system... and much cheaper.
