Still haven't been able to approach with the right words at the right time to get permission from her indoors!

BUT! I do still have the time off work.

So who is going over which days and what are your plans?

:)

Done some searching for ferries:
Depart Newhaven Fri 19 Aug 1130 (arr 1630) Dieppe.
Depart Dieppe Sun 21 Aug 1800 (arr 2100) Newhaven.

Current cost for 1 car with 2 passengers is 147.50 Better prices are available for other times but that depends on what people can do.

The drive from the Ferry Terminal is about 2hrs30minutes to the circuit.

If you're on track then the entrance fee is part of that, if not then it is $15 for two days entrance.

It's actually just as close to Calais, so will investigate that in the morning but I'm tired now.

Euro Tunnel do some good deals from £44.00 return. Might get a deal for a group booking, really good service, only half hour crossing time and the terminal is right on the motorway.

Right done some searching and have some options for crossing the channel, assuming we go over lunch time Friday and from Dover/Folkstone and head back early evening Sunday:

Cheapest being Norfolk Line, Dover - Dunkirk at a crazy £61! :)

That's a much better alternative. What other costs are involved then?

Ferry
Petrol
Entrance
Camping
Food/drink
insurance (euro and track)
Helmet hire?

Camping is a luxury for me anyway so got all the required equipment for that, is there extra cost for the campsite? Have I forgotten anything obvious ( other than new tyres?).

Will try selling this tonight to the wife...

Breakdown kit for the car, you have to by law have spare bulb kit, triangle GB stickers etc.

European Breakdown cover

European Insurance as some companies charge to add this to policies

E111 NHS card incase you chop a leg off and have to go hospital :)

French phrase book incase you get lost ;)

I doubt it, really need to get buying bits again. Plus I want Spa to be epic.

It was those TE37s that caught my eye but I dread to think how much they are.
