Hi all,
its time to think about servicing the CTR its probably due a majr service, its an 07 CTR with 46k on the clock

I thought about taking it to Honda, but that is 300 quid (which i dont mind) but it seemed t be for a lot of checks and top ups wth oil and filters changed, and plugs i guess,.

Does anyone know an independent specialist, in the south west that they recomend, or am i over thinking it and should just take it to Rowes honda for its service?

Sparks are an easy DIY change and take all of 5 minutes, that can easily shave off around £200 from Hondas price. Nothing wrong with going with an independent and giving them the parts to install yourself. Iridium NGK are about £45 a set of 4, oil and filters won't set you back more than £50 and labour, id say £60 at worst for the hour of service you get and easily halving your bill.

You can easily change your air filter cleaner yourself in around 30 seconds too on the civics.
