Does anybody know if the honda warranty is transferable from owner - owner, or if it just stays on the car regardless. I tried ringing honda UK but it was shut, so rang two local honda garages and got different answers.

Basically ive found quite a nice FN2 to buy, registered sept 2009 so still under the original 3 year warranty til sept 2012, wanted to know if i bought the car would honda honour any warranty work before the 3 years was up.

The warranty from Honda is valid on the car until 3 years is up providing it has been serviced correctly. I am the 2nd owner of my car and had work done under warranty. You should have no problems with an 09 reg car as long as it has full service history.

The car has two stamps in the book, the 3rd stamp is due at 36months or ex amount of miles, its not reached either yet so hopefully thats all ok.

Cheers folks, nice to know somebody knows something about it, as one local dealer said it wasnt.
You'd be surprised just how many ignorant folk work in some car dealers

According to my Honda Happiness paperwork, it is only transferable from a private owner to private owner.

So you should be fine ... only if it is sold to a non-private buyer does the warranty invalidate.
