I think everything is just relative. If you want a quicker car.. buy one is the simple answer.

I tuned a Scooby for a mate tonight, 300bhp+ now and whilst he's smiling from ear to ear.. i know he'll be back in a month wanting more power. It's like a drug.. and we all know where that life ends up.

How much is a hybrid BHP and price wise?
Well I'm asking for advice as to what works on this car.

Through exhaust?
Cams?
Bigger turbo?

after having so many car in years if u ask me which car was the fastest answer is subaru and if the question is which one was the most fun i would say civic eg6 with dohc( but as has been mentioned here speed is like dtuh we spent so much money on that car and decided to put a k20 engine inside than the car felt so good for about 3 months and than we wanted something faster never ending story sometimes i think we need to be happy with what we have ))

To the OP: you need to heed the above lesson - wise words.

I've been down the tuning route. Spending thousands is fun, but ultimately I would have been better off buying a faster car in the first instance.

I bought my diesel Civic for the balance of economy and performance. Apart from considering a basic remap I wont do anything else to the car.

Or a Remapped 535d

Time to sort out suspension and brakes, put decent tyres on.
Then look at a custom FMIC and Rolling Road tuning.

Look at what Costel (Lee) has done to his for a few good pointers.
Quicker is all about getting from A to B in the shortest time.

Oh, and try a few track days and have some fun, will improve your driving skills as well.

relic datalogged his car before and after a custom exhaust and there are gains. cams isnt often a modification done to dervs but i know a few lads who have them on pd 1.9 engines.

bigger turbo is always going to work look at celtics stage 3 for gains then find someone to do you a hybrid cheaper i dont think a much bigger turbo will fit its tight back there!
