My Type-S has at some point bumped down a kerb which was too high for it and the plastic trim on the bumper is no longer fixed to the trim on the wheel arch on both sides leaving a gap.

A guy at the garage got the car up in the air and said the clips had broken off. Are these held together with those trim fixings I can get on eBay, or are they part of the structure of the bumper?

This is where it's broken (not my car):

the trim is held to the bumper by these

HONDA BUMPER WHEEL ARCH LINER SPLASHGUARD TRIM CLIPS Accord Civic City C-RV Jazz | eBay

or it might be the longer version ( can't remember )

HONDA BUMPER WHEEL ARCH LINING SPLASHGUARD WING TRIM CLIPS Accord civic crv jazz | eBay

just buy a pack of each both can are used on the civic

and for the wheel arch trim clips you will need these

HONDA CIVIC CR-V CRV REAR WHEEL ARCH TRIM GARNISH CLIPS EXTERIOR REAR QUARTER

for the sake of a few quid it's worth having some just in case

The arch to splitter is held in place via interlocking clips that are part of each moulding.

You'll need to look closely at the parts to see if they will ever sit back in place properly.

The arch clips are handy to have in stock but any knocks to the trim often results in the clip mountings breaking. Then you're either looking at a replacement arch trim or to Sikaflex/Tigerseal the arch in place.

Good luck.
