Can't get much clearer than that, even better than an Arfix model diagram!
you mean that if I try this, I will have parts left over, bits that I should have painted before sticking them in place, a set of transfers that I'll never get round to using, and my fingers will be glued together?

more seriously though (yes, really!) many thanks to Pottsy, basegreen and Honda4ever for this :D

The sensors are included in the executive city pack and are colour coded.
The pack costs in Belgium 1050 euro (about £ 650)

Hi Pottsy!

My oem install manual (oct 2007) doesn't end the same like yours, but something like this:

Sequences for Self-diagnostic and Loudness Setting

The control unit is factory-set to maximum in loudness.
Perform "Loudness Setting" when your customer requests less loudness.

Diagnostic procedure

1) Ignition off.
2) Connect diagnostic signal to GND.
3) Ignition on.
4) Self-diagnostic is running (See steps 0 through 7 below).
5) Ignition off and disconnect diagnostic signal from GND.
System is in operating mode.

Loudness setting procedure

1) Ignition off.
2) Connect diagnostic signal to GND.
3) Ignition on.
4) Self-diagnostic is running (See steps 0 through 7 below).
5) Engage reverse gear.
6) Disconnect diagnostic signal from GND.
7) Loudness setting is running; tone with duty cycles with loudness changes.
8) Connect diagnostic signal to GND.
(The current loudness is set after disconnect of the diagnostic signal and an ignition cycle).

On the car (back view):
Sensor 8 is the outer left
Sensor 9 is the inner left
Sensor 10 is the inner right
Sensor 11 is the outer right

Self Diagnostic

Step / Error type / Tone frequency / Acoustical display

0 / Initialisation of rear system. Failure display starts / 600 / Tone (2s) + Pause (1s)
1 / ECU failure / 600=error, 1000= no error / Tone(1s) + Pause (0.5s)
2 / Power supply, Sensor supply, WD supply failure / 600= error, 1000= no error / Tone(1s) + Pause (0.5s)
3 / Sensor 8 failure / 600= error, 1000= no error / Tone(1s) + Pause (0.5s)
4 / Sensor 9 failure / 600= error, 1000= no error / Tone(1s) + Pause (0.5s)
5 / Sensor 10 failure / 600= error, 1000= no error / Tone(1s) + Pause (0.5s)
6 / Sensor 11 failure / 600= error,1000= no error / Tone(1s)
7 / Failure display (rear system) ends.

I think there's a mistake, why reinit the glass system after mounting rear parking sensors?
For those interested to perform the diag and set, the diag signal is a, blue tapped, red wire on the main harness, close to the buzzer wires but hidden by the trunk side panel. :(

Bye...

Hi, Please don't you have anyone wiring diagram of the parking sensors for facelift models? Mainly wiring in the dashboard (button "P").

Parking sensor volume

Hi, I have a 2008 Civic executive with OEM parking sensors. The sound volume of the parking sensors was always loud and clear but was suddenly too low so I tried to use your PDF manual to adjust the volume. The description in the manual is totally correct, I found the diagnostic blue-taped red wire but when I connect it to GND nothing happens: no diagnostic is running and no beeps at all. When I disconnect it from GND the sensors start beeping in a normal way. Am I missing something here or is it just bad luck?
