Well after a lot of jiggery pokery, tracing out circuit boards and reconstructing the circuit, I've got a schematic that works. I've drawn it in the falstad circuit simulator so you can play with it. It works as expected, with the mirrors retracting and extending with the central locking, and the button over rides it. Some interesting things... the circuit only works if the white wire is +12v all the time, independent of the ignition. It means that the arm rest button extends and retracts the mirrors even when the car ignition is off. Could someone confirm? I think it must be the case because else how could the car power the mirror retraction when the car is locked...? Anyway, I can't post links so google falstad circuit simulator and import the following text to build the schematic.

Your drawing seems to be wrong because the mirror switch its base is connected to ground and not switching between ground and the other terminal.

If only OP wouldn't have taken down the drawings so that the people that don't want to buy a unit could still do it themselves.
