Hey all! I have a 2011 Civic type S. Like 50-60% of the time I try to close my boot lid, it doesn't close properly. Meaning I have to slam it. Now I am worried this is doing more harm then good. Anyone know what it could be? I'm not the best when it comes to things like ths but am happy to try anything

I have this problem and even adjusting the rubber grommets still doesn't cure it ..

Mine did this initially, it closed much easier after I reseated the tailgate trim.

Maybe check that your trim is all seated properly and not twisting the tailgate.

The bumper stops might also be adjusted too far out. Screw them both in a half turn/a turn and then try closing the boot.

Mine was doing this recently, the locking mech on the boot lid was loose, removed the plastic panels and tightened up the 2 torx screws and all is good
