I have just purchased a Dec 07 Honda Jazz 1.4 SE. Can anyone confirm whether or not the following three switches should be self-illuminating (ie light-up) so that they can be easily seen within the car at night ?

1) The "MAIN SWITCH" on the Driver's armrest 'window switch panel' (ie the switch which overrides the passenger's controls). - Also, when this switch is 'active' (ie "on"), should it change colour (usually gaining a 'red' glow) - to reflect that it is 'on' or 'off'?;

2) The "SELECTOR SWITCH" within the 'Power Mirror switch unit'; and

3) The "FOLDING SWITCH" next to the SELECTOR SWITCH within the 'Power Mirror switch unit' ?

Thank you for any help/views offered.

No clue, can just say that some random switch in the Civic, like the "MAIN SWITCH" do not light up, so it may well be the same in the Jazz.

Hopefully someone will know for sure.

Thanks Soichiro

One quick follow-up if I may : is the red ring at the base of the 'active' Windows Main Switch visible because it illuminates red in the dark, or simply because it is a relatively bright colour visible in the 'half light' ?

Thanks again.
