My Civic 2012 is showing constantly showing on IMid display ”V-Diag DTC No”. At same time engine and steering lights are showing yellow. Even licensed repair shop did not get any error codes pulled from the device?

Any ideas how to fix this..?

Oooerr.
Haven't heard of that before :p

Did the mechanic use a regular OBD Scanner, or a HDS (Honda Diagnostic Scanner)? Some issues will only appear on the HDS - It's probably worth starting with the simple option, and disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes or so - That should get everything reset, and may well solve the issue - If the battery is getting on, it may be worth a swap, as batteries coming to the end of their lives are known to cause all kinds of oddities on Civics.

5months ago shop did routine check on battery as part of the 5th year maintenance so it should be good. Might be still good idea to try another battery from friends car..

The very first time this issue appeared I was able to clear it for about a week by disconnecting battery- until it showed up again when driving. Lately it has not cleared the error anymore.

A fair bit cooler now, so that may be it - If you can get hold of another (AGM) Battery to test with you may find the solution, given it has been solved by battery pulls in the past.

Will do that. Let’s hope it solves that.

Bit worried since having engine warning light on and no codes most likely means that ECU is faulty. That might get expensive...

What exactly is your 'licensed repair shop'.

If not a Honda franchise, then as mentioned, they may not have the correct diagnosis equipment and you could be buying a new battery unecessarily.

It’s the same shop that sold the car and does the repairs for Honda so I’d expect them to have the proper tools to check the codes. Not sure what is the correct english name.. but they are doing repairs for Honda so that you keep the warranty etc.
