Hi all,

I know a few people here have bought and installed this kit: Impulse Car Electronics – Products – Hands Free Kits

I'm thinking of buying it at the moment, what is the fit and quality like? Any complaints? Does it look OEM compared to the rest of the dash?

Quality is second to none, looks like it came out the garage with it.

no complaints, be careful and ensure you undo the two screws under the oem head unit which secure it in place.

or you might be tugging on it and snap something

I was planning on ordering it tonight, however I never realised that the vat wasn't included in the price, so between the vat and p&p to Dublin it's an extra £60

I installed a Kenwood DNX7280BT with the impulse kit yesterday, its a very nice kit and good support.

Thanks for the offer mate, but if i'm going to go for a double din, I will just go with the Impulse kit, as I will get all the parts I need in one go

I THINK its actually a universal one, but I wouldn't expect impulse to supply the cage unless I needed it!!

I used the one they supplied, and left the kenwood one in the box.

But why than price of 170 pounds? Are only wiring costs 50 pounds? In my country fascia is about 120 pounds from Honda store. Cage you get with every double din radio, so only wiring is there you may need...

The wiring you get isn't standard wiring. It's wiring which means that you screen still works, and that you can still skip songs and change the volume with your steering wheel controls

the cage is designed to fit into the honda double din cover supplied, i found the alpine cage didn't fit. The impulse one did and the alpine unit went into it perfectly

There are 2 cages I am told, the Impulse one is a 103mm which means it fits the fascia exactly
