It's been happening slowly for some time now but we are totally independent from Torque Developments International (TDI PLC) now having full ownership and control of our own destiny. We still retain close ties with the lads at TDi PLC with regard intellectual exchange of information and product ranges but it just helps with us moving on into the future with capitol investments, development projects new partnerships and associations.
35's, Dukes, Qashqui, Z's etc. I'm now an Uprev Pro tuner so can do all the new gen stuff but for us the markets mainly the 350 and 370Zs as we already see a lot of them in for servicing and mods.
The Uprev's a really cool system a bit like Ecutek where you buy a licence and you can reflash the stock ECU. It’s very much like the Flashpro but without the actual module so it keeps the costs down. A remap works out at £402 incl VAT and you keep the licence. You can buy a cable yourself and make changes if you want later or datalog and remote tune. Any further tunes are just dyno time.
The wideband feedback on the system onboard is very accurate and can actually be trusted right down to low AFR's, the knock control logics also really good. You get full control of all the cam tables, fuel, ignition, throttle plate the lot. Just means we can really exploit the full potential of the cars. You get access to all the DTC stuff as well so can turn the check-lights off for some mods which mess things around.
Am currently on the hunt for an early 350 to use as our own development platform..... then boost the crap out of it! :lol:
