I have owned my Honda Civic FK1 2.2 for about a week, I checked the tyre pressures the other evening and noticed a noise coming from the front near side arch liner (nearest the bumper). I've just taken the arch liner off and is greeted by this:

I cleaned it up a bit

Any ideas what else could have caused this?

I've got a replacement intercooler on the way.

Don't know but it needs replacing!!

Unless you're losing boost, it'll make little difference. They get pretty mucky due to their location

It's leaking.

I've been driving off boost for the last few days.

Another intercooler should turn up today. I'll swap it this evening.

If you look at the capillary tubes, they've worn through

Fitted the new one, only took 20 mins or so.

Very easy job, just take the arch extension and liner off.

Loosen the two boost clips and pull the pipes off.

Take out the top bracket bolt then you can pull the intercooler free.

Installation in reverse of the above.
