Love the car but have a problem with ABS sensor diagnostic says open circuit rear right any ideas

that is the most common ABS sensor to go on the 8G Civic.
cheap part bit of hassle to replace, unless you are good at mechanics best left to a garage

Fitted new both rear sensors but still shows open circuit on right ABS

have you reset the code using a code reader capable of dealing with ABS codes?

I have a Launch CRP123 unit that has reset capability with detail 2.3 inch screen I just lack the wiring diagram I am thinking of upgrading to Honda iHDS capable OBD unit

Silly question, but tried leaving the battery disconnected for half hour ?

if sorted the light will go out by itself no need to reset to get rid of light but the code will be stored in ecu till deleted
so there is another fault
try cleaning the encoder ring on the hub/wheel bearing
also depends how the old 1 was removed the encoder ring might be damaged
the other is the wiring itself
harder to trace and fault find on this 1
if you can get a suitable code reader drive while looking at live data see what its showing
