Buy a K&N cleaning kit.

As above, really easy to do. spray on the cleaning solution, wash it off, then let it dry over night then coat it in the special oil supplied and Voi La easy as that.

Perhaps that's what is claimed, but they DO get dirty quickly - better to practice 'preventive maitenance' on such things, and establish a more frequest cleaning routine ...

In the past i have cleaned the old muck and dust off in luke warm soapy water. Then rinse under plenty of cold water until no soap bubble running out of it. Allow to air dry naturally and then re-apply oil.

I cleaned mine last week and was shocked how much came out of the cone, for the sake of £10 its worth doing plus in 2000 miles your get it back in better mpg anyway
