Hi, my first post. I have looked around the net and on the forum but cant find or missed the answer!

I have a 2008 Civic the keyfob has been playing up. I.e sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I thought it was the battery which was on its way out.
I have replaced the battery today but now the fob wont work at all.

The car unlocks with the key. But alarm goes off.

The spare fob works and disables the alarm. The key with the broken fob starts the car. So no problems with the immobilizer

Is there a way to reprogram the fob? im guessing there was an issue with keyfob with unlocking or locking and now that i have taken the battery out its wiped the memory

thanks for any help
