Hi Everyone,

I am new in this forum and I recently bought 2012 Civic 2.2 Ex.
Really great car.:grin2:

I noticed that when you pull the driver door handle wit your remote key inside the pocket only drivers doors unlock, but when you do it on passenger doors then all doors and tailgate unlock.

There is no user manual book in my car and there is no settings inside the car where I could change car locking/unlocking functions. I am wondering is there is any way/command/programming how could I change that ?

I want that all door unlock when you pull the driver doors handle.

Hope anyone can help me at this point. :smile3:

Thanks

It's a settable function in the software in my 10G. You can choose deriver's door or all doors.
I expect that the 9G will be the same, but how it's set, I don't know.
Does Google help with either the answer or the manual?

I have the same car (civic 2012 ex) and I had no idea that if you leave your keys in your pocket and pull the handle the door would open. I will try this out tomorrow

Your handle should have a button on it, that means you have keyless entry, you can unlock/lock the car just with your door handle :grin2:

Unfortunately there is no settable function in my civic for this :/

Hope anyone have a solution for this :( It's annoying when every time you get in the car you need push the unlock button on the doors in order to unlock the doors for your passengers.

No button on the handle so no keyless entry. Weird how some have it and others don't but hey ho 2 taps of the buttons and everything unlocks that will just have to do

I didn't think Civics has keyless entry, I know the JAZZ has it, but didn't think the Civic 9g did.

Must admit that 2012 does sound a bit early for keyless. As others have posted, does your door handle have a lock button on it that locks the car without the need to press the key lock button?
@gustifas. Are you sure that the car has keyless entry or are you possibly mistaking this for a driver's door that doesn't lock when it should. I don't mean to insult your intelligence or skill, but stranger things have happened.

Well I am sure that keyless entry is when you put your fingers behind the door handle and car unlocks, thats what my civic has, because I am doing it everyday :grin2:

Only problem that I mentioned is that it only unlocks drivers door and other doors are still locked until you unlock them pushing unlock button near the windows opening buttons. I just hope there is a way to unlock all doors when using keylees entry :serious:

If anybody have 2012 2.2 PDF manual or know how to do this I will be very happy :grin2:
I am sure there is a way to somehow program it, just dont know where to start looking :frown2: youtube and google suggest to push and hold door unlock button on the door until you hear 2 clicks, but my Civic do not respond at all to this "hack" :grin2:

Is it not the Anti Hijack function.. I haven't got keyless but I know I can go into the onboard system and set it up so that when I press the Fob it just unlocks the Driver door and I can also set it so that all doors open.

That's exactly what the OP is asking. How do you do that on his car. I know how to do it on my 10G and it seems that you know how to do it for a 9G? So how do you set up yours for it? It might be the same on OP's car. (Is 2012 a 9G car?)

I'm assuming as they brought out the 9G in 2011 that the OPs is a 9G... Here's how I do it.

1. On the left side of the Steering wheel press the "MENU" button.
2. Scroll down to where it says "Customise Settings" and then press "Scource" on the steering wheel.
3. Scroll down to where it says "Door Settings" and press "Scource" on the steering wheel.
4. Select "Door Lock Mode" then press "Scource" on the steering wheel.
5. Select "Driver Only" or "All Doors" and then press the "MENU" button on the steering wheel.

That's how it works on the Facelift 9G with NAV. Not sure about the earlier ones..

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately as I said before there is no "Door settings" in "customise settings" section in my Civic...

I'll probably have to accept that how it is :frown2:
