Ive owned the car a good 6 months now and ive done some bits and bobs making the car my own. I Originally purchased the car from a member on here in amazing condition, really well looked after machine and was a real credit to the him. I resisted the urge for around 2 months before I wanted to make it my own.

So anyway first thing first, here she is the day I picked her from Aberdeen, about to embark on the 450mile plus journey back to Wolvherhampton

Couple months later I managed to get hold of the tegiwa intake which I had partially fitted at a localish garage, where they were reluctant to take the bumper off to fit it. Resulting in the box being fitted but not the intake tract. Any how it made the car sound different in the cab and I was still sort of happy!

I then was set on getting the Tegiwa exhaust system, until speaking to ABP motorsport where I soon booked my self in for the 2.5" Miltek catback! Whilst I was there the intake tract also got fitted! Miltek gave it an awesome tone in Vtec and doesnt drone horribly on the motorway so I was one happy chappy driving home!

Wheels! Wheels! Wheels! What a Dilema! after months and months of deciding what wheels to go for I eventually purchased some Rota GR6 in Matt Bronze! I dropped an inch to 18" due to the cost of tyres, i wasnt prepared to pay alot of money for average tyres on 19inch wheels, I would rather get better tyres on a smaller wheel size. Im happy with the wheels, not sure if I would have prefered the Rota Drifts, but hey ho its different to most ive seen, and im warming to them more and more. Here she is at japfest2 the other day!

Past few days I have been busy, fitting small bits and bobs that I have ordered whilst working away. Here they are

Yes im aware the short shifter is the wrong one, thats another story!

so I got to work, it was bumper off time for the M200, to fit the Tegiwa intake garnishes. It took a while but only due to having to break for the weather and it was the first time I have done it.

Once the fogs were out and the garnishes fitted it made a real difference!

Next was the short shifter! after taking the centre console out my doubts about the short shifter were confirmed, it was not the correct one. Quick phone call to Tegiwa confirmed this. So a drive up to Stoke was needed, and due to my nature it needed to be now, so set off up the motorway where the lads at Tegiwa were waiting for us to turn up after they were planned to close to get it switched! Once there I also purchased some of their locking wheel nuts, which were a nice touch on the car. Back home the short shifter and Skunk2 racing gear knob was fitted, making a big difference, and it also looked alot better in my opinion than OEM gear knob

So after 6 months there have being few changes which I feel have improved the car making it that little bit better than it already was! Absolutely love the car and plan on keeping it a while, so a lot more modifications to come! Including a Hondata which is just around the corner. Long term Im confident Il have the car supercharged so im currently in the process of getting the car ready for it, Big brake kit and many other things to come! as well as some styling touches such mugen grill and bonnet.

Any feedback welcome, good and bad, and any ideas are much appreciated. Just a few pictures I took earlier of how she currently stands

It does need lowering! Not sure whether to go 15mm or 30mm with a FRSU? Or go all out and get some good coilovers?

What ever you do on the lowering front itll look boss! Mines done about 30mm or so and essentially looks like yours bar the odd difference here and there (that and its red). Lovely car and smashing choice of wheel ;)

Cheers AM! Just had a look at yours an remember seeing it at japfest! Awesome looking machine! From seeing yours the 30mm drop looks like a good option! Il keep this up to date on progress with car any how! New parts tomorrow as well, something ive not seen done before is bonnet gas struts. So lets see how it turns out, if it fits at all that is!

Question: how easy was it to get the front bumper off with all the Mugen kit on the front? I may need to take mine off at some point.

My advice for Eibach's is I wouldn't bother, although they do improve the ride in terms of comfort the springs are too soft and to low, the front of the car will scrape going over fairly small bumps, in the end it will ****** you off so just go for Meister R's or similar coilover with height/damping adjustment..

I followed the guide on here and it wasnt too bad just slightly different! what i found was when the arches pull off on the standard kit it all comes off. But the mugen front end overlaps the bottom of the arch/bumper so it doesnt all pull away! you have to unclip the bumper off from the top (which makes a horrible noise) and slowly bend the bottom of the arches past the bumper. its hard to explain but when you see it it will make some sense! You just have to bend the actual bumper quiet far, you dont have to be gentle with it, its incredibly flexible thankfully!

Ahh, got some decisions to make, phonecall to ABP will probably be the decider when I book it in! With a Hondata soon to be on the way Im not sure when it will be though!

Well! Some small updates on the car over past few days! So I ordered a few parts off of eBay, just few little things! Inc bonnet struts which have proceeded to break almost instantly :mad:

These broke almost instantly. There is no room for them when the bonnet is closed! The angle when the bonnet is closed is more than the socket holding the cyclinder its self can handle so it breaks the clip holding the ball in the socket, leaving it unsecured!

So unfortunately after only one afternoon they are off the car and back to original!

Anyway I finally managed to find one local and went to collect it off a fellow member of the forum!

Uploaded the group N map and there is a little difference but not much! Im holding fire on the custom map due to wanting to fit an exhaust manifold in the near future, and possibly a few more goodies this side of christmas!

Hopefully alot more to come soonish :D
