Hi I have a type s 2008, not had it long but I'm so confused as to what the dial next to the start engine buttons function is.. I've tried pressing it and turning it but can't tell what it's for. Any help?

It adjusts the headlight level.

Supposedly you do it to offset the passenger number, so if you have 3 passengers you set it to 3, to offset the ride height/headlight alignment.

Cars have had this for years although one would not know without reading the manual.

I think mine's on 2 currently despite myself driving with no passengers most of the time, when I lowered the suspension the beam went upwards so I had to dip it to compensate... I should really adjust it properly but I haven't cared enough currently as I don't carry full loads ever!

I've also never known the adjustor to break even in ancient cars... It's very subtle so you'll need to watch it carefully when twiddling the dial!

probably only see it against a flat wall adjusting from max to min height.
