Hi all,
Im from London been driving for 6 years, previous cars include mk2 fiesta, mk3 golf, bmw 520 and now I have a 2000 bmw 530 sport which is a great car and the best car I've ever had but Im looking for something a bit more economical

Im going to sell my bmw in the summer but thought I'd start my research early but firstly why the heck are there so many civic variants, I dont know which one is good for me!

I think I'll probably go for a sportier version but what's the difference between a type r/s/sport?

Just some of the questions I'll be asking later!

Thanks
Naz

It's simple - 3 door or 5 door - petrol or diesel ...

Petrol - 1.4 or 1.8 or 2.0 (the latter is 3 door Type R only) ...

Diesel - 2.2 Turbo (can be easily remapped from 140 to some 190 bhp) ...

The 'Sport' is just a marketing thing - Type R is the 3 door 2.0 - Type S (also 3 door) comes in Petrol 1.4 \ 1.8 and the Diesel 2.2 ...

All other models - SE \ ES \ EX \ Si \ etc. - are 5 door - most engine variants are available ...

Thanks that does help alot!

But what 5 door sportier options are there?

The kind of spec Im after is:
5 door
leather
sunroof
ac
lots of toys like sat nav/ipod
alloys

I've also seen some cars with what looks like a colour coded body kit, is this an after market add on or do some cars have it as standard?

Had at a look at your car and it looks nice, colour coding looks much better,

I saw a car advert with this body kit and it looks quite tasty:
is this an after market job or standard on type s models? (shame its only a 3 door)
