I have just returned from the Honda dealer to get my brakes checked. They also told me that my battery needed charging as it was showing a clear and red display in the battery window. Fully charged is blue and red. I went to Halfords and they told me that I needed a new battery. So I called the dealer and asked them if they had check the battery properly, and they said that they had and that it was Ok and only needed charging?

The question is what's the starting AMP for a CTR battery, is it 330A or 360A. Halfords set their machine to 330A and the battery came up OK (83%), but if it was set to 360A then show 73% and that the battery was knackered? Funny enough when I drove home and went to connect the charger that I had just brought, the battery display show blue and red which was OK.

I've been surfing the web and found the spec for a CTR battery:

Bosch
(S4023)Specifications
12v
45 ah
330 cca
247mm x 128mm x 220mm

This means that my battery was 83% charged and the display went into a charge needed status?
