Can someone confirm the location of the MAF Sensor on a 09 Type R and the propper way to clean it ?

screwed into the pipe in the front of the airbox.

Why clean it though- have never heard anyone do this on here

As above. if theres a failt with it i'm afraid you'll need a replacement. around £65 second hand

Nopea MAF sensor can become oiled up from after market filters and moisture. They even make a cleaner for a maf sensor

I wouldnt risk cleaning mine. they arent the most robust part of the car. is there a fault coming up for it? i had mine out the other week when i was removing an induction kit, got an error light but it reset soon after

usually if there's a problem with your MAF cleaning it only solves the problem temporarily, they degrade all the time and lose their surface coating. It won't show up as a fault straight away, but it might well read low, causing your fuelling to be wrong.
