I wouldnt risk cleaning mine. they arent the most robust part of the car. is there a fault coming up for it? i had mine out the other week when i was removing an induction kit, got an error light but it reset soon after
usually if there's a problem with your MAF cleaning it only solves the problem temporarily, they degrade all the time and lose their surface coating. It won't show up as a fault straight away, but it might well read low, causing your fuelling to be wrong.
