As well as the great boot space and the fact this car should be called a Tardis one feature I don't think discussed much yet are the great magic seats - I guess if some of you have had previous Honda's then you may already be used to having such a nice feature :)

Went to a floor warehouse where I know the manager, bought some laminate flooring and a roll of underlay, he was quite surprised when I told him I think it will all fit in my car (had both kids and wife with me as well)... he brought the trolley over for me, roll of underlay went across the boot nicely I then demonstrated the magic seats to him, he was shocked to discover that my 3-door was actually a 5-door and then even more impressed when I slotted some UNDER the seats that both kids were sitting on and I piled the rest across the rear footwell for the kids to rest their feet on - handy not having a huge bulge down the middle as well due to the positioning of the fuel tank :)

Maybe we should start a gallery of amazing objects we've managed to fit in our Civics!

I fitted an assembled DOUBLE futon in the back of one of the loan cars I had. :) Went in nicely with a bit of vaseline ;)

Its good for my dog, her legs are stiff and jumping is becoming a problem. With the seats up she can just step in.

Also no mud or hair on the seats

I remember having the kids with us one day at the dealership while doing the deal, put the seats up in the showroom model shut the doors and the kids had a wonderfully safe soft-play area on the floor in there ;)

people cant believe how much i can get in my car. on sunday we had to take the garden table and chairs over to the boyfriends grans and needed to go to the bottle bank on the way, so we had garden table and chairs, 3 boxes and 3 bags of bottles.
My boyfriends sister recently moved aswell and managed to get loads of boxes in my car, that way they only had to rent a van for the huge stuff that unfortunately i couldnt get in lol. oh i do love my magic seats lol XXX

My record was 2 days after getting the car, went to a friends to help landscape the garden amongst other things. I had, a bike, golf clubs, golf trolley, laptop bag, briefcase, sportsbag, lawnmower, rake, fork, spade, shovel, drill, sander, jigsaw, toolbox, and I could still see through the rear window. Took forever to load it though, especially as it was a new car, so I got an old tatty duvet cover and put everything inside it. Keeps prying eyes off it too.

Then while we were there I got 12 bags of sand in the rear foot well and 4 bean bags in the boot, looks good with the suspension lowered by that much.

Had a random call once from my dad. Garden table would not fit in his golf. Could have lost it in the Civic.

He ordered a CR-V today, by the way

Also rather easy to vacuum. Simply flip up the seats and then climb into the vehicle with your hoover. Always amazes people if you use one of those token operated jobbies at the petrol station.

Seats DOWN today, took a huge round pine table and 2 chairs, 4 old kitchen cupboard doors, couple of drawers, a roll of leftover carpet underlay and a huge cardboard box from a cot - all in ONE trip to the local rubbish dump :)

You wait 'til I come back from Tesco Vin Plus in Calais (yes I'll pop into McDonald's).....reckon there's enough room in the back the Civic there to keep me going til Christmas ('tis only 76 days away!!!).

Mind you with all those wine glass holders in the motor some of the wine will come back digested!!!

Not me of course..............she who must be obeyed!!!

Will it work off the cigarette lighter? If this was for use at home-impressed.

LOL!

yep - home use, got fed up of buying poxy inkjet cartridges every 5 minutes :(

I work from home (mostly) so do a bit of work related stuff on it, but it's mainly for my (significantly) better half, who does a shed load of stuff for school :)

cracking printer, was about £500 ish - which yes, I know, covers a lot of inkjet ink, but it's fast, good enough for snapshot style photos, and heck, I'm just a techno geek :D
