Hi I have a 2015 Civic and when I connected my new phone with usb lead I had a message on the phone saying mirror link connect then agree, but after that i cant do anything on the phone screen until I disconnect the cable.
If i swipe the head unit screen it says loading but I left it ages and nothing changes. Does anyone know what I should see or how long it should take before anything else happens please?
The phone is Huawei P20 Pro with Android/EUMI 9.

You must have the Connect system then (not sure of Civic as got CRV), so agree with Haltamer, update to RC8. Many more phones are now able to mirrorlink, though you need mirrorlink enabled apps installed on the phone for it to work, and unfortunately there's not too many of them.

Thanks Haltamer and Hatter,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Yes it does have the connect system.

I have a service booked for May 8 so will ask them if they will do the update then. Is it normally FOC outside of the warranty?

Something you would have to ask the dealer regarding out of warranty updates. Would have thought it would be free but you might be charged for labour.

Don't just ask for it, tell them the head unit isn't working properly. It keeps dropping Bluetooth, for example, when using hands free.

One other thing is to check on the mirrorlink website (mirrorlink.com) to see if your phone is supported. I've just had a look and only the P10 and P10 Pro are mentioned.

It is worth having the update anyway for other stability issues.

The 'loading' screen could be because you've not got any mirrorlink apps on your phone.

Yes. Go to Google Play Store and search for mirrorlink. It will give you a list of mirrorlink enabled apps. Just install one to see if it then works. Other apps, are shown on the mirrorlink website..
