Here is a simple Do It Yourself (DIY) for adding a larger throttle body to a manifold. The example is a RSP & a 70mm (cable) throttlebody.

In my example I am using my throttle body (TB) adapter plate as a template.

Here is what the adapter plate (70mm inner diameter) looks when on a stock RSP flange

I use the adapter plate & a marker to outline how much material needs to be removed

again but without the adapter plate

after an hour or so with a (compressed air powered) grinder

I put the adapter plate back on & got the marker out again

just about done with the rough/course cutting/grinding

then I moved on to a finer sanding bit - almost done

Excellant mate.

Off the top of your head the RRC inlet manifold and J35 TB ( same as FD2) is there a lip?

I never checked
to my knowledge the fd2 (same a '06+ tsx here in the United States) are 68mm at opening taper to 64.5mm outlet/throttle plate. I am pretty sure fd2 manifold has 64.5mm opening (so no lip to answer your question). I had to do the same process above on the RRC to fit a 70mm TB on it

Very nice guide matey - well explained :)
Thanks!! I grab soem pics of the bits I used when I get a chance.

The MOST IMPORTANT PART is to clean out the manifold when you are done. I clean it 6-10 times (obsessive compulsive maybe) to insure no metal shavings are left!!!!
