Just bought my civic and just joined the forum, not sure if this is the right place but bear with me, only a quick question

I bought my car from a second hand dealership, just had a new MOT, there was one advisory "link". The seller didn't seem to know exactly what it was although said he was quoted about £70 to fix it and also that it wasn't very important.

So basically any idea what it is? The car is a 1.8 es has 84k on the clock.

He wasn't dodgy, came with warranty and breakdown etc... And the price was so good one advisory didn't put me off

Yeah, it could be. Just wanted peace of mind that it couldn't be anything serious. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens on it's next MOT

In my opinion, advisories have become so petty as to be meaningless. MoT testers cover their arses by reporting anything less than perfect 'just in case'. If it was a real problem then it would have failed.
