The throw is definitely shorter and it seems all the shifts are more precise.
I like that.

we (with the 1.8 type S' have bad gearing problems which stop us from enabling the gears sometimes)

Good news - the shifter should fit both Type S and 5D (manual)
(Thank Honda tuning expert Vladd for this info)

But I think it won't fix the gearing problem you described above

Unfortunately, my supplier cannot delivery Mugen parts from now
There are some changes in custom rules and delivery in Russia and if I order the shifter now it will take 4-8 weeks and absolute non-reasonable delivery expenses..

I recommend you to contact Mugen directly - I'm sure they have GB dealer.

Mugen UK phone number is 01604591040 they are inside the same buildings as Cosworth wherever they are based. I called in when i worked in the area for a few days but can not for the life of me remember the name of the town. hope that helps and don't spread the number too much as the guys are very busy building race/track cars but they can defo order parts for you.

Thats a Northampton number and Cosworth are up St James Mill in Northampton (dare I say just 15 mins down the road)
