Hi all

My civic was more or less standard for about a year until i decided to give it a makeover as i felt it really needed one.

So after thinking and thinking and more thinking. I decided to go and give it a type r fn2 look but with a twist.

Pictures of how it looked before and after.

So the project is still on going. (i'e, still some bits and bobs left)
Looking for a good lowering kit at the mo.
What do you think guys.

Thanks in advance.

I cant emphasise enough how much the 3door kit improves the 5 door!

I do think this car deserves the rear spoiler though either the type s or the type r to compliment the rest of the kit

Thanks dougie.
And yes i totally agree with it needing a rear spoiler.
Ive actually got the spoiler and seeker spoiler laying around indoors.

Only thing thats stopping me from fitting it is the fact that id need to do a bit of drilling etc.
Not really a fan of glueing bits togeather.

Looks really good mate. Regarding the spoiler, sikaflex is amazing stuff mate and SO much easier than drilling. Loads of people on here have used it including me, and it is defo the way to go (unless you think you might go Mugen in the future).

Thanks so much your advice guys.

I will look into glueing in on.

I did read it somewhere that some regret using it and it begins to loosen away.
I do motorway driving almost every weekend..
Would this eventually loosen away with the glue recommended by youselves..?

Would i have to avoid jetwashing it...?

Yeah as a vehicle body repairer I would usually recommend drilling and doing the job properly, but after fitting one myself I can confirm the best job is just sealing the thing on!

Use any decent adhesive PU sealer and it wont move a muscle, no idea what someone has used to put it on that its started to move I can assure you some decent sealant will have it for life.

Search ebay for windscreen sealant if you want something stronger than strong, or there is tiger seal, or if you want to go silly strong their is panel bond which is 2 pac but way overkill for this job and will require specialist tools to apply.

But basically don't worry about the thing moving once its sealed down it isn't going anywhere I promise

this was used to bond mine on in the end...
Top stuff, Its not like we have windscreens and rear screens dropping out left right and centre so if its good enough for a screen its good enough for a spoiler in my opinion, put it this way you certainly wouldn't want to let any part of your body get stuck with windscreen sealant once cured!

Thanks for all your help and advice guys.
I really appreciate it.

Definately makes sense now...
I never thought about windscreen seal.
But your 100% right in saying windscreens dont fall out.

Will definately attempt this now.
